The PreBrew Installer tool which has the capability not only installs apps, but can run any rooted command on a Pre without having to manually root it, it requires development mode on the Pre, but the rest is very consumer friendly. This is much easier to initially setup than the SDK method. It works on palm Pre that are rooted or non-rooted.The .ipk file can be download from precentral and the install guide can be found here.
