Hewlett Packard (HP) is optimistic to expand its market share in mobile computing products (mobike computing) by acquiring Palm. That said one HP executive Todd Bradley in announcing the acquisition, on Wednesday (28/04/2010).

"Among smartphone, slate (tablet computers), and netbooks, there are many opportunities there. By investing in WebOS, we can make these devices more attractive than it is now, "Bradley said in a conference call from Palo Alto, California, USA that reported by Engadget.
When asked whether HP will use WebOS on a sailing device is wider than the smartphone that, Bradley did not want to confirm. He said it was still the focus to complete the acquisition process before the set target of development.
"It is undeniable that we consider likely to create similar products, but not yet discussed now," he replied diplomatically. By joining Palm, HP has a product portfolio that is equivalent to heavy competition in the mobile computing market today such as Google and Apple.
